Some of my best baseball memories weren’t on a real field. They were in the backyard playing wiffle ball with my two brothers. No umpires. Just us competing. We definitely wanted to win, but there was still a pure joy in playing.
Those games made me a better player without me even realizing it. They taught me how to compete, adjust, and play loose. Looking back, those games did more for me than I ever realized at the time.
